Hey folks, welcome to our blog...

Blown away by the sounds that was filtering through the clubbing scene from the early 90’s and collecting tapes of their favourite DJs, Fisco & Shaka’s interest in the clubbing scene had grown from being a hobby and interest into a full blown passion and obsession. Fisco & Shaka then decided to move things on a bit further and in mid 1995 they first invested in a set of Turntables to try and create and establish themselves as DJs. From then on they just kept mixing away and trying to find their own Style and Technique’s, not just what others were doing but to try and sound different and to stand out from the DJs that were on the scene at that time. From then on until 1999 they just kept plugging away recording tapes for friends, gigging at Birthday Parties and a few Pre-Formals until they both got their first local break from becoming residents at Fergie’s Clubsound of Newcastle Club night in Quinns Bar, from then on they haven’t looked back.

Fisco & Shaka have went on to DJ at some of Northern Irelands biggest nights such as Planet Love Festival, Co Antrim, M.O.A.R Festival, Omagh, Fresh Underground Festival, Omagh, Unity 1, Portrush and played with some of Northern Irelands biggest and best loved DJs such as X-Ray, Fergie, Binman, Dilly, Chris Davis. Fisco & Shaka have also graced the turntables alongside International DJs such as Kutski, Mallorca Lee, Scott Bond, Trix, Claudia Cazacu, Anne Savage, Gaz West, Daniel Kandi, Re-Ward, Paul Webster, so they have been getting the rewards now for all their hard work and long hours that they have been putting in over the past 14 years that they have been DJing. Fisco & Shaka have also had the pleasure of running their own club night which was called Exodus and was pretty successful in bringing over some of the finest Uk & International DJs to the shores of Co Down. Fisco & Shaka have been taking a break from the Promoting side of things in 2009 and have been concentrating on learning about the production side of things but will be returning in the future and starting the Exodus Club Nights in Co Down.

Fisco & Shaka’s main influences are local idols Fergie and Newcastle DJ Tosh, from watching Tosh at parties, asking him questions about mixing, how to mix tunes and going back home to the bedroom and getting on the decks to try and do what had been seen and told from Tosh. Another idol of Fisco & Shaka’s is their cousin Phelim, from getting them into the scene and into different forms of dance music in the early 90’s from listening to the old tapes from the likes of Fergie, Xray, Binman, Tizer, Tosh, Gleave, Jacko, Robbie Nelson and DJs from the mighty Hellraiser/Vengeance days such as Carl Cox, Pablo Gargano, Lenny Dee that helped broaden their knowledge of DJs, Genres and Tunes and made them more diverse and into the DJs that they have become today.

Fisco & Shaka have also been dabbing their hands in the producing side of things, so there is still sum busy times and important times ahead, but shall totally keep a level head and their feet firmly on the ground and not take anything for granted. Fisco & Shaka recently reworked Airwave's Classic Track - Save Me, which was released on Belgium's Bonzai Trance Progressive Label in Dec 08. Fisco & Shaka have also remixed a track from the late Mark Lynch that was called Lifeforce and which was released on Northern Irish Label Stampgevaar in 2009. Fisco & Shaka have a few upcoming releases in 2010 and early 2011 in which the track entitled We Will shall be released first, Fisco & Shaka also have a few of their own edits of tracks from artists such as Signum, Thomas Bronzwaer etc so there is some exciting and fun times ahead.................
